The 2015 AAU Climate Survey on Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct reported the incidence of sexual assault and sexual misconduct due to physical force, threats of physical force, or incapacitation among female undergraduate student respondents was 23.1 percent. This survey also found that rates of reporting to campus officials and law enforcement or others were low, ranging from 5%-28%. Join us for an afternoon of presentations and discussion with Dr. Kait Boyle from Virginia Tech. Dr. Boyle’s research focuses on the labeling and reporting of sexual assault— by victims, perpetrators, and universities— as well as its mental health consequences for students.
