InFocus: Cannabis Friday, April 20th

Posted by on April 12, 2018 in Community Announcements, Event, Networking, Workshops

You are invited to InFocus, a monthly conversation on today’s hot topics.  This month’s topic will be about Cannabis (“Marijuana”), a topic that has filled headlines in the U.S. and abroad in recent years regarding the substance’s many uses and effects. Most recently, Canada and various U.S. states have been debating cannabis and its use within society. A brief lesson of facts regarding cannabis will be presented, followed by an open discussion regarding the legalization of cannabis, health benefits and risks, and effects on the community or individuals. Your questions and input will greatly contribute to this discussion.

Dr. R. Lorraine Collins, Associate Dean for Research, Department of Community Health and Health Behavior, School of Public Health and Health Professions, UB, will moderate the discussion.

Date:  Friday, April 20
Time:  12:00-1:00
Place:  Capen Hall 107, North Campus

Sponsored by Campus Life, the University Honors College and International Student & Scholar Services
