Open House – October 21

The Biological Sciences Department at the University at Buffalo offers three distinct graduate programs for students; an MS and PhD that are research and lab-focused, along with an MA program that has a proven track record for preparing students for entry into professional schools.

The MS/PhD programs in Biological Sciences provide students with the hands-on training, laboratory skills, and interdisciplinary training needed to be successful in industry and academia.  Our graduate student to faculty ratio is 3:1, and our students routinely work side-by-side with their advisors in the laboratory.

The MA Program in Biological Sciences has a proven track record of preparing students for entry into professional schools. After completing the MA degree in two to three semesters, more than 70% of alumni are accepted into professional schools in their chosen field, including medical & dental schools.

Want to learn more? Come to our Graduate Open House on October 21. We’d love for you to meet our students, show you our lab space, and welcome you to our community!

Can’t attend? We can talk over the phone or email.

Dr. Laura Rusche, Associate Professor, Director of Graduate Studies
