UB SAMPLE Mentee Program for Students Interested in Working in a College Setting

Posted by Tim on October 1, 2018 in Academics, Honors Experiences, Networking, Workshops

Do you have a student interested in working professionally in a college setting? Do you know a student who wants to study student affairs? If so, please refer them to Student Engagement’s Student Affairs Mentorship Program and Leadership Experience (SAMPLE). All students, regardless of their current major, are welcome to apply for a one year mentorship experience to explore careers in student affairs.

As a SAMPLE Mentee, the students will…

  • Develop a mentorship relationship with a full time professional staff member in student affairs at UB.
  • Network with students who are interested in working in Student Affairs.
  • Have the option to enroll in an “Introduction to Student Affairs” course in the Spring 2019 semester.
  • Attend workshops about graduate programs in student affairs/higher education, functional areas in student affairs, trends in the field, and more!

If students are interested, the application for SAMPLE is on Student Engagement’s UBLinked Page. If you or a student have any questions, contact the SAMPLE Intern Anabelle McDonald at anabelle@buffalo.edu or Terri Budek at tfrysh@buffalo.edu.
