Apply to join the 2021 Orientation Leader team! Orientation Leaders have the opportunity to share their unique UB stories with the incoming class and make an impact at the start of their journey by showing new students that they are supported; they can find others who share their identities, goals, and passions; and they matter and belong.
Summer Orientation 2021 will be a virtual program. Orientation Leaders will live on campus with their teammates this summer in order to have equal access to the technology/resources they need to successfully facilitate the program, as well as have opportunities to form connections with peers and staff!
The position is paid at a rate of $15.00 per hour for a total ranging approximately from $2,000 to $3,000, paid throughout Summer Orientation and Welcome Weekend. Please note: this is a pre-tax amount.

We will be holding a Halloween Craft Contest on October 28th at 7pm. Carve or paint your best pumpkin design or even create a spooky little craft before then for a chance to win a prize. You can only win the prize if you are registered for Relay so make sure you do that first!
Come join Student Engagement and plant some roots of your own!
Each student will be given a planter to decorate and paint! Once you have decorated your planter stop by the checkout table and pick up your new plant and care instructions to take home!
The Student Engagement Ambassadors work as a team to promote learning by engaging students in various professional development experiences and mentor students looking to expand their involvement at UB. These student leaders build bridges between students and Student Engagement programs and act as resources and guides to students who are looking for leadership, service, and experiential learning opportunities.
Our Student Engagement Ambassadors are trained to find opportunities that will help you make the most of your time here at UB. Students can schedule an appointment with a Student Engagement Ambassador online through the Navigate app.

Give back to your local community over winter and spring break! Participants will complete in-person community service projects (while following health and safety guidelines), meet with local non-profit agencies and connect with likeminded peers!
Intentionally designed to engage students in conversations about leadership skills and strategies, this 8-week long program will help students discover who they are as a leader and develop their full leadership potential.
This program will be delivered synchronously through an online platform on Thursdays from 2:30 p.m – 3:30 p.m.

Alternative Break programs let you volunteer, perform community service and have unique learning opportunities during winter break or spring break. By spending time immersed in the community, you’ll learn about your role as a global citizen, make new friends and connections, and discover how you can become an agent of change
