ELN’s Sophomore Living Learning Community – Application Open for 2020-2021

The Experiential Learning Network’s Sophomore Living Learning Community invites current freshman to take part in a year-long, project-based learning experience with the Buffalo community during the 2020-2021 academic year. First-year students who are interested in living in Greiner Hall and making a positive community impact through this collaborative skill-building experience can attend an information session on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. in Greiner 134 or visit the website and apply.


  • Collaborate on team projects with tangible impacts.
  • Live with other engaged students who are eager to make a difference.
  • Build strong connections with faculty members and community leaders.


  • Design and implement a team project under the guidance of a mentor.
  • Receive funding support for your project implementation.
  • Participate in a 1-credit course during the fall semester and a 1-credit course in the spring.


  • Experience UB’s premier housing Greiner Hall.
  • Attend early move in and community-building orientation.
  • Receive access to special trips and events.
