DBM looking for student research assistants

The PLAN project is looking for 1-2 students to work with children and families as part of a multi-site family-based treatment for childhood obesity for the Spring/Summer 2020 semesters. Specifically, students assist with: collecting outcome data for primary and secondary measures, consenting study participants, administering surveys and questionnaires, preparing study materials, and brainstorming in weekly meetings. *Given the need to travel to various sites, students with access to cars would be preferred.* 

The Exercise and Events study is looking for 2-3 highly motivated undergraduates to work as research assistants Spring/Summer 2020 semesters. Students will be helping with a time-sensitive pilot project looking at how different types of cues administered in a real-world setting influences physical activity. Students will have the opportunity to help with preparation for the study, including creation of study materials, data entry and data collection. Students with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply: Organized and detail oriented, ability to interact with a team and with members of the public, good time management skills.

UB ACES (Activity and Children’s Environment Study) is a project that looks at risk and protective factors for weight gain in 6 – 9-year-old children. Students working on this project would help with data entry, file organization and child care for participants’ younger siblings. UB ACES looking for students who have availability from 2 – 8pm, 2 evenings per week, Monday – Thursday.
