Position: Weatherization Auditor
Job Information:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years’ experience working in the construction/weatherization; industry Certifications: BPI Building Analyst/BPI Building Envelope/Single Family; QCI/Multi Family QCI (employee must earn within 12 months of taking the position); knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.; be able to access all areas of the house that work is being done (attics, roofs, crawl spaces, and basements). Required to to use a ladder or climb multiple flights of stairs; be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Salary: Wage Rate Range $17.50 to 20.00 (depending on experience) full time, day shift, plus great benefit package
Job Description: Responsible for the initial inspection/testing of every house SSC will be working on. The inspection will identify all areas of the house that need weatherization work, what work they will need to do, photographs of everything that needs to be done, and explaining to the homeowner what will be done. The employee must complete all TIPS and EmpCalc paperwork, according to the standards put forth by NYSHCR and NYSERDA for qualifying units. The employee is responsible for completing the final inspection/testing on the household. The final inspection confirms that all work has been completed correctly, confirms the savings measures for the state paperwork, photographs of everything that has been done, and retrieving a sign off from the homeowner on the completed work. Must be able to access all areas of the house which includes attics, roofs, crawl spaces, and basements. To access these areas the employee may be required to use a ladder or climb multiple flights of stairs.
