University Communications: Paid Writing Position for Students Spring 2022

These are paid positions of 12-20 hours per week, at $13.20 per hour, and they are open to undergraduate and graduate students. Students may also be able to receive internship credit, depending on departmental/program internship requirements. The positions will be open until filled. Review of applications will begin Nov. 29, 2021.​

We are asking applicants to use the Bullseye/Handshake application system to submit a resume, cover letter and writing sample (such as a published news article, academic essay or other sample demonstrating writing skills). 

Our student assistants work with us to write features, news releases and other articles about research, community partnerships and other work carried out by university professors, staff and students. It’s a great opportunity to be creative, tell great stories and gain professional experience in communications. Writing assignments will be similar to those in UBNow and News Center.
