Volunteers Needed for a Study on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Theory

This year has been incredibly stressful for everyone, and many individuals have felt the need to seek help coping with their emotions. The University at Buffalo’s Depression Research and Treatment Program is seeking study participants interested in engaging in the online Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course, Be Mindful. Multiple studies have shown that this four-week online intervention can reduce depressive symptoms, perceived stress, and anxiety symptoms. Participation in this study will allow you to access the Be Mindful materials free of charge. This study will be completed entirely online.

We are seeking college students currently experiencing some emotional distress, who have experienced more severe symptoms of depression in the past. If you are interested in learning more about our study, please email study staff at
