NEW CLUB ALERT

Hello hello!!

I hope you’re having a fantastic start to your second week of classes!

For those who have yet to meet me, my name is Savanna Caldwell and I’m the current President of UB’s first ever SODA Chapter! I’m in my final semester here at UB and love getting to know others as well as jamming out on long car rides. My relation to organ donation is that my sisters’ mother passed in a motorcycle accident and was able to help over 70 individuals by being an organ donor, since the accident one of my sisters has become a major organ donation advocate and has partnered with numerous organizations with similar mindsets. From her passion, I found myself also wanting to advocate for organ donation and here we are!

1. Join our GroupMe! Just reply to this email with your email address or phone number that’s connected to your GroupMe, so I can add you! In the Group chat, we send some organ donation memes and talk about how we’re going to plan, it’s basically been a continuation of our first meeting.

2. We’re still anxiously waiting to get connected with our OPO (Organ Procurement Organization) in order to have a training session, so we as a group can be more educated about organ donation! However, if we don’t hear from them before Feb. 25th, there will be a webinar from the ChrisKlug Foundation about the organ donation process. One of my sisters is actually going to be a guest speaker! So if you want to hear more about her story, definitely attend!
