Welcome Back BBQ  

Date: 08/27/2023 | Time: 4:00-8:00 pm| Location: SU Courtyard 

Description: We’re having a cookout! This is a great opportunity to meet other BIPOC Bulls, connect with faculty and staff, and discover cultural clubs on campus. Join us as we kick off the fall semester with lots of food, music, and fun!Co-sponsored by: Office of Inclusive Excellence

LGBTQ+ Ice-cream Social  

Date: 08/28/2023| Time: 1:00-3:00 pm | Location: SU 235 + 240 

Description: Did someone say ice-cream! Join us in the IDC for a chance to connect with students, staff, and faculty who are committed to providing an inclusive and safe space for students on campus. 

If you’re interested in volunteering for either the Welcome Back BBQ or LGBTQ+ Ice Cream Social please reach out to IDC Assistant Director for Programming, Taje Jenkins-Jones. We will share additional info leading to each event.  

IDC Fall Offerings 

Hispanic Heritage Month 

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15th through October 15th by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, as well as Central and South America.  

The IDC is inviting clubs, organizations, and departments to post events and activities on our centralized HHM calendar and webpage. To submit an event for HHM at UB, you may use the following event form. Also, feel free to tell us about events that you are aware of taking place in the community.

• Tough Topics (a weekly forum to discuss difficult and controversial issues) – Tuesdays, 3:00pm to 3:30pm, Student Union 240
• BIPOC Graduate Student Happy Hour – 9/15/23, 4:00pm – 6:00pm, Student Union 240 
•  #UBFirstGen Celebration – 11/08/23, 11:00am – 2:00pm, Student Union Lobby
